Creative History designs and runs the school theme days at King John’s House. Our aim is to make learning history fun, accessible and memorable. The activities are designed so every child has something to do be it making, playing, handling resources or wearing costumes.
Pre 2014 Curriculum themes were Houses and Homes, Tudors, The Great Fire of London, Florence Nightingale, Victorians and Christmas.
Post 2014 Curriculum Stone Age, Anglo-Saxons, Writing and Printing, Lord Palmerston, Toys and Games were added to the mix.
When: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Cost: £5 per child
Accompanying adults free
(Based on a class of 30)
Participants: KS1 or KS2
Sessions: Start at 10:00 and last 2 – 2 1/2 hours; after which you may have the use of the museum for the reminder of your visit.
