Course Summary: This unit looks at how Nursery rhymes can be used to learn about our past. Step into the world of oral history and learn how some apparently simple rhymes hide clues to adventures, disputes, battles and life in the past. Consider how Nursery rhymes could be used to teach enhance historical knowledge and understanding; use different versions to consider bias and how to weigh up evidence. Look at why oral history was formerly so important. If time, have a go at creating a modern rhyme.
